She stalked away from him. “What if I don’t want to marry?”
“All women want to marry.”
Angel picked up the book she’d been reading earlier off the table and hurled it at his thick head. “You imbecile! I cannot believe you just said that.” She glanced around to throw something else at him but he rushed to her, gripping both her arms.
“I will tolerate your temper only once, Angel. Once.”
“Do not dictate to me. You are not my father!”
He let go of her suddenly and she stumbled back. Rounding the corner of the desk, he opened the drawer and pulled out a leaflet of papers.
“No?” He tossed them across the desk to her. “But I am your legal guardian. The moment the British took your father prisoner, the order went into effect.”
Blac moved across the threshold and seized both of her arms before she could reply. He pulled her so close she could feel the wisp of his breath fan across her forehead. He gave her a single, quick, soul-shattering kiss. “Welcome to the family, Angel.”

Margaret Palmer returns to Climax, Virginia, a deceptively quiet country town where Southern charm hides long-buried secrets and evil lurks just beneath the surface of the daily routine. Frustrated and frightened, Margaret knows she will have to face Blue Moon, the only true love she ever had, and his adopted daughter, Carolina. More alarmingly, she may be forced to reveal a long-hidden secret—she’s Carolina’s biological mother. But, will her disclosure no longer matter when a psychotic serial killer eliminating residents, spirals out of control, determined that Blue will be his last victim?

Damn. After nearly two weeks of deprivation, Lyndi didn't deny seeing Alek again did her body a world of good. A tingle danced across the surface of her skin, settling in the tips of her fingers and toes. She bit down on her bottom lip and checked the distance from where she sat to freedom. If she tiptoed, maybe she could make it the twenty steps from her chair to the elevator without him noticing.
The papers might be problematic; when she stood, they'd crinkle. Very carefully, she gathered them against her chest and rose. He didn't look in her direction; so far, so good. The scratching of his pen echoed in the stillness, and Lyndi figured she was home free as she pushed the elevator button to go down.
"It's rude not to at least say hello," he said, breaking the silence.

Striding toward the porch with the bearing of a warrior, he removed his gloves while tramping up the steps with neither a look to the left or the right. Men instantly clamored out of his way, making a path that appeared to move before him like the parting sea. Although he had said not a word, everyone seemed to know he meant business.
Andrea herself was spellbound, only turning away when she unintentionally made direct eye contact with the cigar-smoking lieutenant who followed close behind. A sudden apprehension of death stirred in Andrea’s soul when she glanced into those fighting eyes.

What can I say about this guy? He's got the "it" factor. The eyes, the lips, the scruff, the knock-you-to-your-knees smile...he rocks is all with impeccable charm. And that's everything above the shoulders. Since he's a WMU Wednesday feature, you KNOW the rest of him is noteworthy.
Happy Wednesday!
Next week, I'll be featuring the handsome fellow standing beside Goran.
How's that sound?
